It can be quite frustratring when you have put a lot of time into couponing, (organizing thoughts, coupons, and a grocery list) all to find out when you get to the register that certain coupons may not be applicable to sales items.  In order to avoid hours of money savings planning, and watch all of your hard work fritter away at the checkout counter, it’s a good idea to familiar yourself with individual store coupon policies.

One of the main reasons that a person gives up on couponing is due to frustration.  Like the old saying goes, “Anything worth doing is worth doing well.”  The best couponers are those who invest the extra time needed to fully understand how to play the coupon game.  Hence, the purpose of this article is to enlighten you on Walgreen’s Store Coupon Policies.

Walgreens Coupon Policy:

  • Store coupons and manufacturer coupons can be combined.
  • Buy-one-get-one-free sales will usually honor a coupon for both items.
  • Register Rewards & coupons cannot be in excess of the number of items being purchased.
  • Register Rewards can be used to purchase items except for stamps, prescriptions, gift cards, and a few other items (RR are like cash with an expiration date).
  • Rolling Register Rewards is NOT allowed.
  • Register Rewards are not redeemable for the sales tax on a purchase.
  • It is not uncommon (but not always the case) to be allowed to redeem more than one Register Reward per transaction.
