Apricot Squares Recipe

2/3 c Dried apricots

1/2 c Butter, softened

1/4 c Sugar

1 1/3 c Flour, divided

1 c Light brown sugar, packed

2 Eggs

1/2 c Chopped almonds or walnuts

1/2 ts Double-acting baking powder

1/2 ts Vanilla

1/4 ts Salt

Confectioners sugar You can use either almonds or walnuts in this recipe-each gives a very different flavor. In a small saucepan, place apricots and cover with water.
