Kroger 101: Ways to Save

Kroger 101: Ways to Save

Do you want to stack up your savings at Kroger? Here is all the ways you can save at Kroger:

Kroger Plus Rewards Card:

Signing up for a Kroger Plus Rewards Card is free and easy. Just visit your local Kroger store or Kroger.com. Having a Rewards card allows you to receive the advertised pricing, as well as, the gas discount.   For every $100 you spend at Kroger using your store loyalty card, you will receive a deduction of $0.10 on any grade fuel on your next fill-up at a participating fuel center.  Limit one car only, up to 25-gallons maximum fill-up.

Manufacturer Coupons:

Limit one manufacturer coupon per item. Limit one store coupon per item. Amount refunded cannot exceed the price of the item. Expired manufacturer coupons are NOT accepted.

eCoupons:

If you are new to Kroger’s Digital Coupons, you first need to create an account by registering your Kroger Plus Rewards Card and downloading the coupons directly to your Kroger Plus Card. Customers who wish to participate must present their Kroger Plus Shopper’s Card or a valid ID at the time of checkout. Digital coupons and offers are deducted before paper coupons and can NOT be added or removed once the card has been scanned. Digital coupons only have ONE use per transaction. Digital offers can NOT be used in conjunction with manufacturer paper coupons on a purchase of a single item. Digital offers do NOT double. Only 150 coupons can be loaded per household at one time. The store manager has the right to accept, decline, or limit the use of ANY digital coupon or offer.

Printable Coupons:

Kroger only accepts printable coupons if they scan properly at checkout. They do not accept “free product” printable coupons that have no purchase requirement. Buy-one-get-one-free coupons and other values that have a purchase requirement are acceptable but will be much less common than traditional value-off coupons. Kroger’s does not accept coupons for more than about 75% of a product’s value without advance notice. Legitimate PAH coupons will not be for a high value relative to the cost of the item. For example, a $2.00 off coupon will be acceptable for a product that normally sells for $5.00 or more, but a $2.00 off printable coupon for a product that sells for $2.25 is unlikely to be legitimate. Coupons will be rejected if they appear out of proportion or blurry, or are obvious duplicates. Legitimate PAH coupons are never copied, sold, or traded. Nearly all coupons are “non-transferable,” meaning they should not be photocopied or scanned and distributed to others. Coupons will be rejected if they appear to have been altered in any way.

Online Coupons vs. Paper Coupons:

The online coupon will always take priority over the paper coupon. Stacking is not allowed. There is a limit of one electronic or paper manufacturer coupon per item. Digital coupon and manufacturer paper coupons may NOT be combined on the purchase of a single item.  If a customer has loaded an electronic coupon to their loyalty card, then the electronic coupon will apply before the manufacturer paper coupon. A digital coupon cannot be removed from a transaction once redeemed  If the electronic coupon and manufacturer paper coupons are applicable to the same item, the system will give the discount based on the Electronic Coupon.

Catalina Coupons:

Kroger does have Catalina machines located at the registers. Catalina coupons may be store or manufacturer coupons. They can be for a dollar-amount off your next transaction or a specific product coupon.

Pharmacy Coupons:

Competitor pharmacy coupons NOT accepted.  LCM or Competitor Coupons may NOT be used in conjunction with their $4 Generic Program.

Double Coupon Policy:

Kroger has eliminated double coupons in most regions. However, please check with your local store for their policy.

BOGO Sale:

Kroger does allow you to use two value-amount off coupons on a store BOGO promo!

10 for $10.00:

Each item will be priced at $1.00 per item and you do NOT need to purchase 10 items to get this price!  You can mix and match products, along with using coupons.

I like Kroger (mine is Logan Drive in Huntsville, AL) because it is usually very well stocked and very neat. I save my coupons for when items go on sale; I save more money that way. My Kroger no longer sends the flier in the Sunday paper, and they don't double coupons anymore. It makes it harder to save, but if I work at it I do quite well.

They're big savings events like buy 6 save $3 instantly offers help alot and the fact you can mix and match as long as it always a multiple of 6. I have been able to stock up on items that don't have coupons using this and then use other sales with coupons makes for awesome savings. Also their receipts so you the % saved which is nice....to date my maximum savings is 52%, not the greatest but this is getting all of our items we need not just items we are able to match sales with coupons

I'm 76 man, newly retired and getting more involved in shopping for the family groceries. Yes, the prices marked on the shelf are a little higher than the big box store down the road. When I check out and review the register tape, I find numerous automatic store discounts I receive, plus the digital coupon discounts, plus discounts from coupons I print out at my PC and points earned toward discounts on my gasoline at the pump for the following month, I can beat the big box store prices many times and not have to fight the crowds. I'm sure I have more to learn about couponing so I can cut my expenses further. I'm looking forward to this new adventure.

I really love Kroger because they are always having specials on the items that I use. They have sales that if you buy 6 you save 3 dollars. They also have sales that you can buy 10 certain items for $10. I love buying the cheese there because they sell it most of the time for $1.99 and then if you put coupons with it it's even cheaper. I need all of the quality cheap that I can get in this economy raising teenagers!

My Kroger store is in Mt. Morris MI. I love the ditigal coupons and weekly specials, the free Friday stuff and the gas rewards. Over all their prices are a little higher but with the weekly special and double coupons it is a good place to shop.

I really like Krogers. I shop in Bowling Green ky and Goodlettesville tn. Both stores are very nice. They are kept clean and uncluttered. Nice and helpful people working there. The only thing I am now liking at this moment is that I am not gettting a weekly ad in my Sunday paper anymore. I have gone to the wedsite and tried to print it off but it is not very clear. So unless I start getting this in my Sunday paper again I will not be making as many trips to Krogers. I like to make a list before I get to the store. I like the digital coupons . Very convienant. Lots of good products.

My Kroger store in Grand Blanc, MI is a good store to shop at. Their prices are sometimes a little Higher than Meijer but in a lot of ways they make up for it by doubling coupons. So when I find something on sale I can combine with my coupons they are the first place I go for those items. I also like the coupons they send me in the mail as well as the free ecard items every Friday.

They have great digital coupons that 'magically' load to your card so that the deduction is made at the checkout without having to remember to bring your paper coupons. They often have items in the fresh neat market that nobody else seems to have (Mahi Mahi burgers!). And, their apples & pears have been the least expensive around here compared to everyone else.
