Welch’s products are brought to you by family farmers, who grow Concord and Niagara grapes. The company is named after the founder, Thomas Bramwell Welch. Mr. Welch started in the church, serving grade juice instead of wine and when he introduced his bottled product to the Chicago’s World Fair, it became a simple sell. Today, grocery stores are packed with Welch’s grape juices, jams and jellies. Welch’s 100% Grape Juice are made with special Concord grapes, which are only grown in chillier climates. The Concord grape is in season in September and October. They are good for your heart, in the same way that red wine is because of the natural nutrients they contain, polyphenols.
