Times are tough. Money is tight. Most of America is feeling the financial strain and focusing more on budgeting monthly spends. Are you an Arizona resident and struggling more than ever? Having trouble feeding your family?
There is a great way to save by using coupons. There are great sites to find a comprehensive list of coupons for all stores in Arizona - GroceryCouponNetwork.com. You can also find first-hand accounts of people and families using coupons and coupon strategies to cut their grocery bills sometimes in half!
But sometimes, coupon savings are not enough and families have major problems getting the nutritional foods their household needs. This is when you take advantage of the Food Stamp program that you are entitle to through the Arizona government. The funds are paid for by our taxes, so you are already paying for it - so why not use it if you really need it?
Formerly called Food Stamps, the program is now referred to as the Nutrition Assistance. The goal of the program is to provide low-income families and individuals with a chance to purchase and prepare nutritious, healthy meals. This is better reflected in the updated name.
Also, food stamps are no longer in the form of stamps. Funds are distributed through debit cards that are filled monthly.
Let's face it, healthier people tend to have less financial strain on the government. By providing lower income families with an option to feed their families healthier foods, this will lead to less medical expenses. Also, research has shown that healthier diets lead to better school performance and all around more productive and happy individuals. This, of course, results in better citizens overall.
The true purpose of the Nutrition Assistance program is to improve the diets of Arizona residents if they cannot do so themselves.
The Nutrition Assistance debit card can only be used at approved stores and on approved products. The goal of the program is to help low income families prepare healthier foods. Therefore, the benefits can only be used on foods that can be prepared. Alcohol, cigarettes, non-food items, and toiletries are not approved.
Stretch your food budget and food assistance funds even more with the help of coupons and couponing strategies. Shop smart and search for coupons before you leave for your shopping trip.
Learn about great money saving strategies on Grocery Coupon Network - such as stacking and doubling. Be sure to look at coupon restrictions and store couponing rules before you plan out your couponing shopping trips.
It doesn't matter where you live in Arizona - if you are eligible due to the household income brought in and the need for assistance, food benefits are your solution to nutritional meals.
There are income restrictions involved in determining whether or not you are eligible, be sure to check Arizona's current standards.
