Whole Foods Coupon Tip: Case Discounts
I live in a small condo in a big city so I don’t always have a ton of room for buying in bulk, but one of the bulk deals I love to take advantage of is the Whole Foods Case Discount. Most items at Whole Foods can be purchased at a discount and you can find the number of items needed for a case discount right on the price ticket.
Some items have a very small quantity for a case discount. A good example of this is La Croix sparkling water. You only need to buy two to receive the extra 10% case discount. Some items require a much higher number, like Kit’s Organic Bars. For that case discount, you will need to purchase 12 items.
The nice thing about the case discount is that it can be stacked with other savings like manufacturer’s coupons and store coupons. This can make for really big savings on high end products and organic items. This program also applies to wine! You get the 10% off (on most wines) when you buy 6 bottles or more.
Here is an example of how this can work, please note this deal is not currently available but a past example of how the process can work:
La Croix Sparkling Water 12-pack $2.99 (Sample Sale Price)
10% Case Discount when you buy 2 (quantity varies for each item)= -$0.60
$1/1 La Croix Facebook Coupon (use 2) = -$2.00
$1/2 La Croix Whole Foods coupon (NLA)= -$1.00
Final Cost: 2/$2.38 or $1.20 each
Whole Foods Everyday Deals and Specials are not part of the case discount program and some other restrictions apply. Make sure to check at your store to find out the ins and outs of the program.
