On May 15, 2001 the first Apple Store opened in Tysons Corner Center mall in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Since then the Apple Store has grown to 425 locations in 16 countries. Apple Stores sell Macintosh personal computers, software, iPods, iPads, iPhones and other Apple related merchandise. The stores also serve as a center for technical support and repairs since each is built with a 'Genius Bar' that also offer free workshops available to the public. To address increasing numbers of iPod customers at the Genius Bar, some new stores also feature an iPod Bar. In addition, some Apple stores feature a theater for presentations and workshops and a studio for training with Apple products.
