Compassion International is a faith-based, non-profit organization. Since 1952, they have helped relinquish mothers and children from poverty. Compassion International helps more than 1.3 million children in 26 countries. They work in Africa, Asia, Central America and the Caribbean and South America. About 80 percent of donations and gifts are given directly to benefit the children. With Compassion International you can sponsor a child, rescue babies and mothers in need, or sponsor a child to be a leader, help meet critical needs, or donate. You can sponsor a child and learn more about their environment through three icons. The heart symbol represents that a child has been waiting 8 months or longer for a sponsor. A pin symbol represents a child in an AIDS-infected area. A “V” symbol means that the child is at greater risk to grow up in an area with abuse. Each child has a bio that tells you about them, their community and their country. You can sponsor a child for $38 a month. Save on sponsoring a child and supporting Compassion International here!
