Ways to Save at Pottery Barn
Pottery Barn has some beautiful products but they can be very expensive. There are ways to save on these high-end products and you can pick up some beautiful items at a highly discounted price.
Pottery Barn doesn’t have many discounts or coupons on a regular basis but they do have some throughout the year that can really save you a lot. They have an annual Friends and Family sale for employees, family members and card holders/frequent shoppers where they offer a higher percentage off any purchase in the store. This is a great time to make BIG purchases or grab that super expensive item you were waiting to go on sale. This is valid at all of the stores in this chain so be on the lookout for great items you might want to buy during this time.
Check the clearance sections for great deals. I have found so many super steals at Pottery Barn Kids just because it was a seasonal item or the line was being phased out. Be careful if you buy something that may need replacements (like a chair that requires a new chair cover to update it) or a set that isn’t complete. Just know what you are getting and be an informed consumer. I am a mix and match type person so I love finding all the different pieces, accessories and sets to bring together in my home. Clearance prices can be pennies on the dollar, I have found plenty of items for around 70% off the regular price. Some of the items I’ve purchased this way are duvet covers, picture frames and sterling silver serving pieces. Be a diligent shopper to save more at this high end store!
Watch for promotions and sales. You can find some great deals in store but keep an eye on the online sale section as well. Sometimes they have promotions where you get $10 off your next purchase when you buy something or free shipping, with no minimum purchase. This can make for some great gifts around the holidays- last year I was able to pick up some mini pie molds on clearance (online) with free shipping and I got the $10 off coupon with my order. Considering I only spend $6.97 on the item I bought, this was a money maker! If you join the email list, you should receive a savings code off your first online order. Plus you’ll get all the sale updates for the store.
One tip that works at many stores is to save up gift cards for a big item and then get it on sale at a good price! When my family asks me what I want for a birthday, I usually am working on saving gift cards toward something so I tell them what store and they add up as time goes by and then I can buy a really nice, better item without spending a lot and I get what I really want for my birthday and not a bunch of small stuff.
